We’re thrilled to have the chance to support such a great cause this evening! We will be playing an acoustic set during the 4-7 happy hour! A portion of all proceeds will go to support St’ Jude’s Heroes Team! What is the St. Jude Heroes team? Individuals who have pledged to raise anywhere from $500, up to $1,000 for St. Jude, who will then run in the Rock n’ Roll 1/2 Marathon on April 28th! You can read more on this here.
On example of what St. Jude is doing:
To Nashville native Ian Miller, everything in life is about winning. Though, at 10 years old, he doesn’t really know it. He doesn’t remember the moments of his life when victory was most important. But his parents do. The doctors finding a mass on their little boy’s brain. Anna Miller calling her husband, Jason, from the hospital, crying so hard she couldn’t speak. It was massive. It was terrible. “We just couldn’t breathe,” Jason Miller says. So now every moment that there’s a breath — for them and for Ian — it’s like another victory.
Our team wants to do more than run. We’re fundraising while we train for our race so we can make a difference in the lives of kids with cancer, like Ian, who may not be able to fight for themselves.
We CAN make a difference, but we need your help!
Donating to St. Jude means:
- Families never receive a bill from for treatment, travel, housing or food — because all a family should worry about it helping their child live.
- Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago. St. Jude is working to drive the overall survival rate for childhood cancer to 90%, and they won’t stop until no child dies from cancer.
